was taken up for the District Police in Shahdol.
Better health through early detection
Reliance Foundation’s initiatives have significantly
impacted the early detection and prevention of disease.
Of the nearly 10,000 newly enrolled adults screened
for preventable diseases, about 1,000 were identified
being at risk for diabetes and 2,300 people were found
to have high blood pressure. Around 4,100 screenings
were conducted for oral, cervical and breast cancer
of which 87 suspected cases were referred for further
care. All people identified as high risk for preventable
diseases were referred for treatment.
Over 8,500 individuals were diagnosed, and 800 were
treated for anaemia. As part of Reliance Foundation’s
malnutrition prevention initiative, treatment was
provided to 211 malnourished children.
