SWADESH an immersive experience by Reliance Foundation is a unique interface of traditional arts and crafts of India linked to consumers and art lovers in their pristine form. One of these was efforts to popularise these in the form of a showcase This experiential exhibition offers a unique journey into the world of India’s traditional art forms.
The at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), a multi-disciplinary space dedicated to artistic expression hosted SWADESH artists, playing a pivotal role in the Cultural Centre's mission of celebrating India's culture and connecting it to art lovers and the general public both on the national and global stages.
SWADESH showcases a wide range of traditional art forms. Through exhibitions, it is possible to witness skilled artisans at work, from traditional looms crafting intricate carpets and saris to artists using vegetable inks and needles to create paintings. Visitors can engage directly with artisans, making the exhibition an interactive educational experience.
SWADESH is a testament to India's cultural treasures, bridging the past with the present and offering visitors an opportunity to connect with the rich tapestry of India's artistic heritage for traditional crafts from across India including Tanjore Painting from Tamil Nadu, Venkatagiri Weaves from Andhra Pradesh, Patola Weaves from Gujarat, and Tholu Bommalata Leather Shadow Puppetry from Andhra Pradesh.
