Volunteering

    Highlights FY21-22

    Celebrating the Month of Good Deeds for the third consecutive year to
    encourage the spirit of giving and sharing. Employees and family members from
    across divisions came forward to express their gratitude by sharing their time and
    skills. Over 4,400 children, youth, and staff members were reached through 22
    engaging virtual sessions. NGOs from locations such as Giridh, Koderma, Rourkela,
    Rajpura, Alibuag and major metro cities participated in these sessions.

    Organising the second edition of the Jio Digital Monsoon Camp with employees
    and their family members, who put on 30 virtual sessions for more than 5,300
    children from NGOs across locations such as Jammu, Srinagar, Latur, Tuticorin and
    Erode. RF volunteers organised engaging sessions on topics such as Zentangle art,
    landscape painting, language skills and more.

    Conducting trainings for 1,000 NGO staff-members through Learning and
    Development volunteers, who are professional trainers from RIL’s Hydrocarbons
    and Retail divisions. The sessions covered topics like advanced Excel, report writing
    and stakeholder management. The staff members hailed from metro cities as well
    as more remote locations like Nagapattinam, Shillong, Warangal and Begusarai.

    Arranging virtual awareness sessions on plastic and waste segregation
    with expert volunteers. These sessions were aligned with the goals of the RIL
    Petrochemicals division, in collaboration with the Indian Centre for Plastics in
    the Environment (ICPE). Over 3,800 children, including students from Reliance
    Foundation schools, attended these sessions.

    Delivering supplementary classes and language skills training for over 2,200
    children from seven NGOs. These classes were conducted by RF volunteers as part
    of a spoken English and reading programme.

    Observing national and international days of significance, such as International
    Volunteer Day, Children’s Day, World Environment Day and the International Day of
    Women and Girls in Science.
